Avocado Boats with Shrimp Salad | 1st Day of Christmas from Afrolems


My first day of Christmas recipe would have to be the Avocado boat with Shrimp Salad. I was recipe hunting a few weeks ago and came across this blog. It had the recipe for this avocado boats and shrimp salad and it is apparently a recipe inspired from people in Ivory Coast. On the first day of Christmas, I bring to you from the lands of Abidjan, the lovely recipe. Hope you enjoy it. Tasted amazing too. Seasons Feedings… Enjoy!

Ingredients

1 Avocado Pear

1/4 cup of shrimpivory coast food recipes

1/2 cup of water

1/2 maggi cube

1 teaspoon of seasoned salt or Suya Pepper

A handful of shredded carrots

1 tablespoon of barbecue sauce

1 tablespoon of salad cream or mayonnaise

Method

Wash and peel the shrimps (if they have shells)

Season it with the maggi and suya pepper or seasoned salt

Pour the water into the pot and place seasoned shrimp and boil for 8 minutes on medium heat.

season and boil shrimp

Empty shrimp into a bowl and place in fridge to cool for about 10-15 minutes

Mix shrimp with carrots, barbecue sauce and mayonnaise.

Slice avocado pear in half and place the shrimp salad in the pear.

Serve cool
