This Apple Spiced drink was a favourite at Christmas time in my house. Each year we host a Christmas lunch and invite a few friends and family. It has now become a thing that I have met a few people at my house and become friends with them because of this infamous Christmas lunch.
During this period, my mum and I sit to brainstorm the menu to find the right balance between over doing it and doing enough. She typically leaves the drink mixes, appetisers and desserts to me while she handles the main course. I tend to go a little overboard with my responsibilities especially with the drinks and appetisers and sometimes end up neglecting a strong dessert menu. This is a note to myself to switch things up in 2020.
In drafting my drinks menu, I had options like mulled wine, spicy drinks, tea, palmwine cocktails and a host of other items featuring. I think there was a stiff competition between the Apple Spiced Drink and the Palmwine Cocktails. In my opinion, this drink won. I’d still share a couple more palmwine cocktail recipes so you can make them all year long but let’s start with this Apple Spiced Drink from the free recipe book i shared this Christmas.
If you are not a lover of Alcohol, you can skip the alcohol in this drink. It would still work as a mock-tail.
