Honey Yaji Yam crisps was a result of a bitter yam experience. No, I am not talking about the three leaf yam, I am talking about normal yam that you slice into hoping for a different experience but turns out bitter. I should really have just stuck to my Sympli Yam because at least I will be guaranteed that the yam is not bitter. They do not have crisps yet but I am sure one day soon, they will start to make yam crisps.
Back to this yam that I bought, to think the man tried to sell it to me at N1,500 (almost $5), I’d have been pissed. I ended up buying it at N600 but that extra N100 was me just being nice. Only for me to take it home and then see what happened. I wasn’t going to let a whole tuber go to waste so I decided to drizzle some honey on it and then I started playing around and this recipe was born. It’s short and sweet so enjoy my Honey Yaji Yam Crisp recipe.
