Zobo Chapman
Is it ok to say that this is the best drink that ever liveth? Is that ok to say? No? Ok! Well I disagree with you. There may be drinks that are good but this drink has versatility beyond measure. You can make it virgin or alcoholic. Whatever the case is, it would always be a hit at your events and can cater to both children and adults. For the non-Nigerians that are reading my blog, if you have ever come across the Hibiscus or Sorrel drinks served, it’s the same thing except there is a bit of a twist to it. You can also flavor the drink with more fruits and exciting options like mint, cucumber, different ranges of citrus and even a tinge of chili pepper if you are feeling adventurous.
Zobo is a very versatile drink and the leaves have many applications in the Nigerian context. Some just use it to make the traditional Zobo drink, I also tried Iced tea they also may use it to make a few traditional Nigerian soups like Ishapa and Margi Special but using the white variety. I have also played around with a dessert and made a tart with it. I think by now you get the point that this ingredient is very versatile. Well I would be sharing a lot more recipes in the future but not restricted to drinks that you can use Zobo leaves for.
