• Plantain Salad

Plantain salad is not a new dish on the food scene but it certainly was new in my kitchen this evening when I played around with it. For lovers of plantain, I bet you have added plantain to any possible dish you can. I know I have as seen with some of my recipes. I had dodo gizzard dumplings, Plantain and beef pie and plantain toffee balls. I have successfully completed a three course meal using plantains in my life-time. I think I can continue to exist a happy person. This plantain salad recipe did not take very long to make and was very straightforward. As always, you can add and subtract to a recipe to make it uniquely yours. I played around and tossed in some shrimp. I also used sweet chili salad dressing for my salad. If you are not a cheese lover, you can skip the addition of cheese to your own. I wanted to add some almonds or peanuts but I figured for a first try, I should keep it simple. I hope you love this recipe and it becomes a staple in your home. I know it has crossed that mark with me.
