I had been staring at the indomie in my cupboard and wondering what to do differently with it. Suddenly, I asked myself; “has anyone tried to use the seasoning for anything else?” Rice was the first thing that came to mind. I ran to the kitchen and started boiling my rice as fast as I could and when I was done, I was pleased with the result and decided to run to my computer to blog about this tasty and simple Indomie Fried Rice. I know you are wondering what you can do with the Indomie if you take the seasoning out? Well you can get creative and serve it with the honey stir fry chicken we posted earlier.
One thing I noticed however is the salt content in the indomie seasoning. It made me realize that the noodles itself must absorb a lot of salt in a way that rice probably would not. I started out with 1/2 cup of rice but decided to go for 1 cup of rice instead because of the salt content. Depending on the type of rice you decide to use, please note the absorption would be different. This sunday, if you would like to try a different rice lunch dish, try this Indomie Fried Rice Recipe.
