My weekend has been a very busy one and I decided to make something for the road that was spicy and small enough to carry around. Yes, honey barbecue wings were my solution to my snacking problems. Believe me it came in very handy today as I was roaming and stopped to snack a little. They are also the perfect weekend bites when you have visitors. I can guarantee they wouldn’t leave your house after this. Same thing my pineapple turkey wings did. I never got rid of some people. *cough* you know yourselves. Enjoy my simple recipe.
Recipe for Honey Barbecue Wings
Ingredients
8 Wings
4 tablespoons of honey
4.5 tablespoons of ketchup
2 tablespoons dijon mustard
Seasoning cubes
4 scotch bonnet peppers
2 tablespoons of Lemon juice
2 tablespoons of Oil
3 cloves of garlic
Method
Blend your oil, garlic, seasoning, lemon juice, peppers, mustard, ketchup and honey and divide into 2 equal portions.
Using 1 of the blended portions, marinate the chicken wings and set aside and allow to sit for 3-4 hours.
In an oven at 350F, place your chicken wings to bake for 1 hour or till the chicken is really soft.
In a pot, pour in the other half of your blended mix and heat up on low heat till the mixture becomes thicker. Stir in your chicken wings from the oven, garnish with vegetables and serve.
