• Banana Mango Spinach Juice

Green juice is all the craze for the fit fam crew. I remember seeing my friend drink her first green juice and i thought to myself this is crazy. I will never do it but fast forward two years, I am glad I have incorporated these because the benefits for my body are great. I never was one to take supplements because I felt they made me so hungry so quickly and not necessarily in a good way. I am not knocking supplements, it was just my personal experience.

I decided to look for creative ways to incorporate the vitamins I was missing and voila, green smoothies and juices. I do not add yoghurt or milk to mine as others do. I just blend with water to keep it as natural tasting as possible. I have come a long way from the content of this juice in this post. I have started experimenting with avocados, celery and other vegetables. I haven’t reached the stage of blending nuts into my drinks maybe one day I will. If you are new to green juices, try this one first before venturing into other vegetables. That way, you would get past the idea of drinking something green. You can also use ugwu (pumpkin leaves) as a substitute to spinach.

If you are juicing for weight loss, you may want to skip on the mango and minimize the banana as well. You can replace it with other low calorie fruits like watermelon and have more vegetable varieties

Pls I heard that it’s not good to eat raw veggies just as it is not advisable to overcook. What can u say about that?

Hello Nkem, It is certainly not good to over do it. I try to have my juices 2 – 3 times a week so as not to over do it.
