• Churros

Who loves pastry?!?!! I know i do, I’m always craving anything that is baked or fried. So one day I decided to do my research and make myself some Churros. Fairly simple recipe and absolutely delicious. They are so soft and if you have any Nutella laying around they would taste even better if you drizzled some on the Churros.

I thought I should share this recipe with you guys since I love y’all so much and I think you should absolutely try it.

    Ingredients

    2 cups of water

    2 cups of flour

    8 Tbsp of Butter

    8 eggs

4 Tbsp of granulated sugar (or as much sugar as you like, I have a sweet tooth)

    1 Tspn of salt

    1 Tspn of Vanilla extract

    Granulated sugar + cinnamon

    *Nutella

    Oil for frying

    Tools

    Piping bag

    Large star piping tip

    Table knife

*The recipe can be doubled or divided depending on how much Churros you want.

    Recipe

    • Bring water to boil in a large saucepan. Add sugar, salt, butter and boil.
    • Reduce the heat and add flour stirring constantly using a spatula, stir on low heat for approximately 5 mins.
    • Remove saucepan from heat and continue stirring the mixture to cool it down, during this time you can add the vanilla extract.
    • Once it has cooled down, add eggs one at at time ensuring that each egg gets incorporated into the mixture before the next one is added.
    • Transfer the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
    • Heat the oil, pipe the mixture into the heated oil (use the knife to cut at the piping tip once you have gotten the desired length).
    • Allow to fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown
    • Drain on a paper towel
    • Roll the Churros in the granulated sugar-cinnamon
    • *Drizzle a little bit of Nutella on the Churros (optional)

You can make your own piping bag using regular plastic bag and make a hole in it.
