• Nigerian Buns

Growing up I am not sure which one I preferred. Nigerian Buns or Puff Puff? I think at the time, I just kind of went with whatever was given to me. It was a treat so hey I was not complaining. If you have followed my blog for a while, you know pastries are not my forte. Lately, I have been trying my hands on more snacks than i normally would mostly because of two reasons; 1. masters program is taking over majority of my time. 2. I am getting confident in making snacks which I am not as good at. So I guess it’s a win-win. I posted the picture of my Nigerian buns on instagram and had people asking for the recipe so I decided to post it quickly. People say buns is a little trickier to make than Puff puff. I beg to differ. Puff puff took me a while to master but buns was fairly easy at least to me. The transition from the crunchy texture on the outside before you get into the chewy texture on the inside is simply divine. Without further ranting, I present to you the Afrolems Nigerian Buns recipe 🙂

Hello Dammy, you can use butter instead but the texture would be different. If you plan on using butter, do not use oil again as that is doubling the oil content of the buns

Hello, my family just enjoyed this, I added vannila essence to mine. Let’s just say my next guests would be enjoying this. And it is a whole world simpler than puff puff. Thank you
