Hi Guys, so I was privileged to meet the amazing Chef Fregz at the Chef Fregz Special that took place at GET Arena in Lagos this past weekend. I was so thrilled to actually enter the kitchen it was awesome in a busy way. And I got to see him in his element, SCORE!!!
At first it was a bit intimidating because I am an amateur chef cook, but after meeting him I have decided that I am definitely absolutely going to culinary school, after I get my degree.
Basically there were four main courses to choose from and a dessert. From the title on the menu you can tell that the whole menu had was an Asian with African infusion.
My cousin ordered the OMAWONDER, the fish fillet was amazing. It had a mix of about 18 spices that the Chef specially mixed (it also had a little bit of cinnamon), you can taste each spice basically in one fork. Personally I wouldn’t think of putting cinnamon and fish together but it was amazing so I am going to try that out. The dish itself was magnificent.
I had the Palava Chicken, you see I ordered this because when I was in the kitchen and saw the chicken marinating in the stew, it looked delicious and boy was I right.
I also got the BAMBOO LOVE, which was the only dessert in the menu. It was a blueberry and yoghurt cheesecake.
Since it was just my cousin and I, we had a limit of what we could order obviously (I am part of TeamFit), but I am absolutely sure that the remaining dishes were as awesome as the ones I tasted.
I can tell you for a fact that the veggies in this salad were FRESH OFF THE FARM, not genetically mutated vegetables. One thing I took away from this is to always use fresh spices. Chef Fregz said so, so I am doing it; well I do it sometimes but most timesI use old spices. Fresh Spices do not give off the strong smell old spices give off.

This was an amazing experience for me mainly because I have always wanted to meet Chef Fregz and I am glad I finally did and I also got to eat some of his tasty food from his fascinating menu.
